Butt Implants Newport Beach

Dr. Sanjay Grover performs Butt Implant surgery for patients in the Newport Beach area.

Buttock implants can be placed within the muscle, within the fatty tissue or just above the muscle (in the subfascial plane). Dr. Grover prefers to place buttock implants within the subfascial plane in order to obtain a preferred buttock aesthetic and to minimize complications such as capsular contractures. In order to minimize the chance for wound separation or breakdown, Dr. Grover prefers to place the implants through two curved incisions within the intergluteal crease 7 cm in length. These incisions will be hidden by current styles of thongs. It is important that patients who desire buttock implants remain off of their buttocks for two weeks post operatively except to use the bathroom in order to minimize the chance of developing a seroma (or serous fluid collection).

Fat grafting may be performed in patients with some additional fatty deposits which may serve as "donor" sites. However, it is quite common for a patient to present desiring an augmented buttocks but not having any significant amount of fat that can be used for grafting. These patients are ideal candidates for buttock augmentation using soft, solid silicone gel implants.
